Due to the coronavirus, this years’ Yorkshire Day celebrations will have a muted feel, with no parade or events on Churchill Playing Fields. There will be a socially distanced event at Uppermill Museum Gardens starting at 11.30am, with music by a brass band quartet.
The Yorkshire Declaration will be read out at 11.45am, and there will be the customary laying of a wreath of white roses. Anyone wishing to attend should comply with coronavirus recommendations, and maintain a safe distance – especially in light of the increase in positive tests and strengthened guidelines.
